Horses require less CBD relative to their body weight than dogs or humans. The recommended dosage is approximately 10–15 mg CBD per 100 kg of body weight. Our dosage calculator can assist you in finding the right amount.

  Approximately 3–5 balls per 100 kg body weight per day.
• nacani MINIS (1 mg CBD per ball):

Of course, the nacani CBD oils are also suitable.

IMPORTANT: In the human field, CBD is not listed as a prohibited substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency. However, hemp is generally listed in equestrian sports. Be sure to check the applicable regulations before giving CBD to your horse!

CBD (short for Cannabidiol) is a compound found in the hemp plant, but it is also naturally produced in the bodies of humans and animals, where it functions as a signaling molecule. CBD has no intoxicating effects or addictive potential, but instead offers comprehensive support for the body, mind, and soul.

Dogs, horses, and humans have an endocannabinoid system in their bodies. Cannabinoids are signaling molecules that influence cell metabolism and can regulate their activity. They continuously monitor the balance of all functions and work to restore this balance when disrupted. Imbalances often occur in stressful situations or with age. Natural CBD provides significant support in restoring the body’s balance.

CBD does not have any serious side effects. Even accidentally giving a significantly higher dose (anything above the >25 times recommended dose is considered an overdose) is harmless and may only lead to drowsiness, slight dizziness, and a dry mouth. There may be mild diarrhea at the beginning. In such cases, reduce the dose again and increase it more slowly. Often, it helps to apply the oil to a treat or switch to our CBD snacks.

No, of course not. The industrial hemp variety used for our products (Cannabis Sativa) contains no more than the permitted level of < 0.2% THC, so it has no intoxicating effects. Current analysis certificates are always available on our website.

No, CBD does not cause psychological or physical dependence.

Yes, you can stop giving nacani products at any time. Since CBD is not addictive, there are no withdrawal symptoms. However, the emotional or physical issues it helped with may return.

A CBD overdose does not cause severe side effects. If an excessive amount (more than 25 times the recommended dose) is taken, it may result in drowsiness, mild dizziness, and a dry mouth.

We recommend avoiding CBD administration for pregnant or nursing pets, or those under 4 months of age, as there are still limited studies in these areas. For serious medical conditions, we advise to consult with a veterinarian before giving CBD.

Based on current knowledge, CBD does not cause tolerance and does not need to be discontinued to maintain its effect. However, we still recommend taking a 4-5 day break every 3 months to avoid potential sluggishness of the endocannabinoid system. Continuous intake of plant-based CBD could potentially cause the system to become “lazy.”

Our nacani CBD Oil is made from 100% cold-pressed plant juice of the industrial hemp variety Cannabis Sativa, with a natural CBD content of 2.8% or 5.6%, and contains no more than the legally allowed amount of < 0.2% THC. Nacani works with an oil mill in the Chiemgau region. The gentle pressing process preserves the full plant spectrum of hemp in the highest quality. Other ingredients, such as terpenes, flavonoids, and additional cannabinoids like CBG and CBN, remain intact.

Because all plant components are present in their natural balance, this creates the so-called Entourage Effect. The Entourage Effect suggests that a mixture of plant compounds in their natural balance has a higher biological activity, meaning that the bioavailability for the body is optimal and the active ingredients are better absorbed than when individual components are administered separately.

Our CBD snacks should be given as treats throughout the day. It’s best to start with half of the recommended amount and gradually increase until you find the dosage that works best for your dog. In some cases, animals may require a higher dosage than indicated. 

The snacks can also be easily combined with the oil. Neither product is better than the other, but they are better suited for different situations.

Ideally, nacani CBD oil should be given separately from large meals. You can either apply it directly into the dog’s mouth or mix it with a very small amount of food so that the oil can be properly absorbed by the body. If the oil is added to food, it’s recommended to use 1-2 extra drops since some of the active ingredients may be lost during the large digestion process.

Please distribute the dosage across at least 2 times a day (preferably 3 times a day), e.g., in the morning and evening. Start with half of the recommended dosage (based on the dog’s weight = higher dosage recommendation) and gradually increase by one drop daily until the desired effect is achieved. It’s advisable to begin with a lower dose.

The oil and snacks can be combined easily. Neither product is better than the other, but they are better suited for different situations.

Our Chicken variety consists of 65% premium fresh chicken meat from ethical, regional farming, 20% hemp protein, 10% berry pomace, and 5% hemp oil with natural CBD content (3mg per ball of NACANIS or 1mg per ball of nacani MINIS).

Our Fish variety consists of 57% premium local freshwater fish from ethical, regional farming, 18% potatoes, 10% hemp protein, 10% berry pomace, and 5% hemp oil with natural CBD content (3mg per ball of NACANIS or 1mg per ball of nacani MINIS).

№ 3 / Vegan → also suitable for horses or small rodents:
Our vegan variety consists of 40% ripe organic bananas, 20% coconut flour, 15% hemp protein, 12% berry pomace, 8% flaxseed flour, and 5% hemp oil with natural CBD content (3mg per ball of NACANIS or 1mg per ball of nacani MINIS).

Purines are proteins that healthy dogs can process and convert into uric acid through their metabolism. However, some dogs, such as those suffering from Leishmaniasis, cannot break down purines efficiently. Below is an overview of the purine content in nacani products:

Chicken:
1 ball of NACANIS: 1.028 mg
1 bal of nacani MINIS: 0.514 mg

Fish:
1 ball of NACANIS: 0.849 mg
1 bal of nacani MINIS: 0.424 mg

Vegan:
1 ball of NACANIS: 0.116 mg

Thanks to the drying process in the dehydrator, our nacani CBD snacks can be preserved without any additives. With less than 8% residual moisture, they have a minimum shelf life of 2 years.

Nacani was originally developed for dogs and horses, but it can also be given to rabbits and other small rodents.

Unfortunately, our products are not suitable for cats. Our hemp oil is a full-spectrum oil containing all components of the hemp plant, including terpenes, which cats cannot tolerate.
